We're into the second half of the summer holiday season now, which means that we have a new program of movies at Monaco Open Air Cinema.

What's new?

It's great to see Monaco businesses doing well, and this week, recently established couture brand D'Ora Tokai is making its mark in the world of fashion. The company has entered a collection in the 2013 Muuse x Vogue Talents Young Vision competition and seeks your vote to ensure it gets through to the semi-finals.

As many of you know, we particularly enjoy good food and wine here at maBoum, and during one of our recent evening strolls, we came across somewhere in Beausoleil, where we can do just that. L'Epicurien is a few metres up the street from the old Priory pub, and is a franchise cave and fine food store. The choice of wines benefits from the advice of Master Sommelier of France Jean-Pierre Rous, who was also the first Chef Sommelier at the Louis XV. You can buy to take out, or there are a few tables inside and out on the pavement, where you can appreciate a glass of wine and a platter of charcuterie and cheese in situ.

Also in Beausoleil, there's a new pizza place called Chez Giuliano, which has been operating for a few months. Located on the Tivoli steps, the Italian restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner, with pasta, pizzas and plats du jour, an average bill of around 15-20 euros, and wines from 15 euros. Let us know what it's like if you get there before us.

Finally, the football season starts on Saturday, with Monaco's first match away to Bordeaux. The club is hoping for a successful season, following an increase in the number of season tickets sold, and the team's 5-2 friendly victory over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

What's in the diary...

Thursday: Wine tasting & networking.
Friday: St Roman's Day, Italian fireworks.
Saturday: Belmondo & Mbappe.
Sunday: Lone Ranger.

Coming up next week, Classic Car Tours, Calvin Harris, and Blah Blah.

For lots more suggestions, visit maBoum's 7 day listing and enjoy your weekend.
