I got rhythm (1)
Today we're celebrating Saint Nicholas and the Christkind, who both deliver gifts to good little boys and girls.
What's new?
Tying in with the 6th December tradition, there are several events taking place this weekend that are aimed at children or raising money for disadvantaged kids. Today is Red Nose Day, when you'll see vehicles sporting a large red hooter on their front fenders. The Christmas village officially opened yesterday evening, with festive entertainment, a carousel and big wheel, and an ice-rink for skating and karting fun. Tomorrow and Saturday sees the Telethon Village established at the port, raising money for the annual French charity effort. And finally, SBM is lighting up its fir tree forest in the heart of Monte Carlo on Saturday evening.
What's in the diary...
Thursday: Passionate music: spiritual, tango, Beethoven.
Friday: Angel films.
Saturday: a Masked Ball.
Sunday: Nativity play and English concert.
Coming up next week, a Happy MonacoUSA Christmas, Frankie's children's party, and a charity art auction.
