Fresh showers for thirsting flowers (1)

It may be a bit cloudy, but it's no reason to avoid the beach.

What's new?

Now that August has arrived, kids can make the most of Larvotto Beach's secure play area, while teens and adults lounge about or enjoy the water sports. And don't forget that there are several other beaches within bus, boat or walking distance, all with restaurants where you can enjoy a light lunch. In Cap d'Ail there's trendy Plage Mala with La Reserve and Eden, family friendly Plage Marquet with Lamparo and Cap Marquet, and along the coastal path to Roquebrune, there's Plage du Golfe Bleu and K Beach Club.

What's in the diary...

Thursday: music for a prince and from a pauper.
Friday: Red Cross gets by with a little help from a friend.
Saturday: Monaco welcomes New York and St Tropez.
Sunday: re-live the old movies or see a new one.

Coming up next week, Michael Jackson tribute returns, St Roman's Day.

Featured place

Where do you go for a quiet drink after 8pm? Well you could try Loga Cafe on Boulevard des Moulins. Listed in the Michelin Guide Rouge, the restaurant serves excellent food, including local specialities - we can recommend the barbagiuan. It's also got a couple of sofa seats on the pavement where you can relax with a glass of wine or a beer.

Please note that when we feature places and events in the newsletter, we're writing our own personal opinions rather than placing adverts. If you have a favourite restaurant or bar that you'd like us to feature, let us know.
