If you want to help Ukrainians in need, think about going out. The takings from several upcoming concerts are being donated to the Red Cross to help their humanitarian efforts in Ukraine. Participating events include this evening's Printemps des Arts concert in Fontvieille, next Thursday's performance at Princess Grace Theatre, OPMC's 8 Apr concert, and Ballet de Monte Carlo's 28 Apr performance.
Regular travellers will be pleased to know that Nice Airport Terminal 1 has now reopened. During the closure they've installed new air-bridges and renovated the north runway.
As for travel within the Principality, on Monday new electric buses are being brought into use on route 3. The vehicles carry more passengers and service frequency will be 15 mins. There are plans to introduce the buses to route 5 in autumn.
Good news for Monte Carlo Beach Hotel. Its efforts in eco-responsibility and sustainable development was rewarded with a "special green" prize by Hotel and Lodge magazine last week.
Meanwhile Monaco Matin carried an interview with Flavio Briatore on Monday. Besides talking about his new role as an ambassador for F1, he mentioned that Twiga is to reopen at the end of April. Work has been carried out on the interior during closure, and changes have been made to the menu.
Mayor Georges Marsan has also spoken to Monaco Matin about work on the Jardin Exotique, which he hopes to partially open temporarily for Heritage Day in September. As for La Chaumiere, the restaurant with a magnificent view over the Rock, it's too early to say what will become of it once the construction workers have moved on.
