Teenage dreams, so hard to beat (1)

What a storm we had on Saturday! There's more bad weather forecast for this weekend, so make sure you secure your blinds.
What's new?
There's a change of management at Au Royalty, the restaurant on the corner of rue Princesse Caroline and boulevard Albert ier. New manager Iacopo La Guardia is a well known restaurateur in the Principality, whose other places include Vecchia Firenze 1 and 2 (ex Dolce Vita) and Huit et Demi. In other food news, Explorers Pub in the port is featuring show cooking on Fridays and Saturdays, and Meridien's l'Intempo is promoting an Italian buffet for 79 euros on Wednesdays up to 12th September. The hotel also recently announced the appointment of a new Directeur General.
It's your last chance to check out Note Bleue's jazz on the beach this weekend, although there's still plenty of live music throughout September, with Rascasse featuring local bands most evenings. And finally, now that the summer fair has been dismantled, watch out for traffic diversions and construction work at the port, as the pavillions are being erected for Monaco Yacht Show.
What's in the diary...
Thursday: French jazz pianist.
Friday: Anglo-Spanish Super Cup.
Saturday: Russian concert.
Sunday: Monaco triathlon.
Coming up next week, remembering liberation, celebrating chit chat's 1st anniversary, and networking with MonacoUSA.

(1) This week's quote is the memorial written on the headstone of John Ravenscroft, better known as DJ, presenter, producer and journalist John Peel, born this day 1939. The words are a line from his favourite song, Teenage Kicks, by The Undertones.
