I feel good (1)

May has arrived at last, and if you're anything like us, your thoughts will be turning towards leisurely lunches on sunny terraces.

What's new?

There are several days off this month, when you can take advantage of the improving weather at the beach or pool. Seasonal restaurants Sea Lounge, Trattoria and Fuji (Sporting) all open their doors during May, and down at the beach, Note Bleue starts its jazz festival.

Of course the main attraction in Monaco is the F1 Grand Prix, and this year a new party event is being planned in Cafe Llorca by VIP Rooms. We're busy putting together our annual guide to the GP to help with your planning - follow us on Twitter to get the latest updates.

Finally Chez Bacco has changed its menu. The restaruant that used to serve traditional Italian food is now offering Vietnamese dishes such as dim sum (€8-€9), crispy chicken in a spicy sauce (€15), and grilled spare ribs with lemon grass (€16).

What's in the diary...

Thursday: sacred music, New Zealand wine.
Friday: PlanetSolar in port.
Saturday: garden show and bouqet competition.
Sunday: classical matinee.

Coming up next week, new film, old film, and open day at the university.
