Mirth, Youth, and Warm Desire (1)

It's May Day on Sunday, normally the start of the warm weather. Time to get the t-shirts out and store the wooly sweaters.

What's new?

If you're a regular at the Picin Tocu sandwich bar watch out for a change in management soon.

More rumours are circulating in relation to Moods. SBM are apparently planning to abandon live concerts for good. A Facebook group (Facebook login required) has been set up to protest, and a couple of petitions are doing the rounds. So far, we've heard nothing official from SBM, and no May concert schedule has appeared on the website yet, although often the agenda isn't published until the last minute. We think it would be a shame to permanently lose the venue.

What's in the diary...

Thursday: local talent play pop, acoustic and salsa.
Friday: drink a toast to Will and Kate.
Saturday: virtual opera and contact sport.
Sunday: a little romance, thrilling or funny.

Coming up next week, Cosmo goes Chinese, a little Irish history, movies for charity.

After a month and a half of work, the Stade Nautique Olympic size outdoor swimming pool reopens. With new tiles, refreshed paint work, pumps and filters replaced you can either swim for exercise, or make use of the sun loungers and parasols to work on your tan.
