The last great American TV show (1)

Port Hercule is a hive of activity over the next three days. There are 133 super-yachts to view at Monaco Yacht Show and a day pass will set you back 600 euros.

For those who find big boats boring, here's a link to our writer Cabbie Monaco's Yachtsman's Ale ditty (note: some naughty words), and more importantly, here are our suggestions for the coming week.

Art & literature & exhibitions

It's your last chance this weekend to see George Condo - Humanoids which closes on Sunday.

On Saturday an exhibition of restored and coloured black and white photos of Monaco opens in Espace Leo Ferre. Monaco d'Autrefois is on for one week only and entry is free. More information on the Mairie's agenda page.

Members of CREM are invited to a private tour of Rainier III, le Prince Batisseur on Tuesday. The following day an exhibition by Daniel Smith, called What would Grace do? opens in the clubhouse. It's on until 3 November.

Cinema

New to the cinema this week is The Creator, a sci-fi, human versus robot war movie which has garnered positive critical reviews. A Haunting in Venice is also still being screened daily.

French speakers can see Jean Cocteau's L'Aigle a Deux Tetes on Tuesday evening as part of the Tout l'Art du Cinema season.

Eating & drinking

If you're into fine dining check out SBM's Festival des Etoiles. Monaco's best chefs are inviting Michelin-starred colleagues to collaboratively prepare top-notch meals. The first, tomorrow evening, is with Marcel Ravin and Julien Royer of Odette in Singapore.

Music & dance & festivals

The 2023-24 OPMC season continues this weekend. Tomorrow evening sixteen-year-old Alexandra Dovgan is performing works by Bach, Beethoven, and Chopin. Then on Sunday there's a symphonic concert featuring baritone Matthias Goerne, conducted by Nathalie Stutzmann.

Networking & conferences

All the schmoozing is happening this evening. British Association members are getting together for drinks at Flashman's, all nationalities of CREM are dining at Maona, and everyone is welcome to join Club Vivanova's yacht show fashion party at Cova by the beach.

Next week there are two business events, Luxe Pack at the Grimaldi Forum, and Monaco Business at the Meridian's Sea Club.

Sport

Monaco FC faces Marseille at Stade Louis II on Saturday. Three days later, on Tuesday, basketball team Monaco Roca welcomes Dijon to the Salle Gaston Medecin.

Coming up soon...

A meeting with SBM's Stephane Valeri, a space conference, and a curry evening with Mothers of Africa.

And finally...

On Friday join the British Association's Macmillan coffee morning and afternoon. And don't forget to check VisitMonaco for more suggestions.
