What's happening with this weather?

What's new?

Santa Cruz restaurant on the corner of rue Terrazzino in Condamine opens under a new guise shortly. The eatery has been closed for quite some time, and we recently noticed posters in the window selling crockery, cutlery and other table furnishings at bargain prices. A new company has been formed with an Italian manager to take over the lease. As soon as we have more information we'll let you know.

What's in the diary...

Thursday: 2 for the price of 1: wine & art, music & fireworks, charity & partying.
Friday: music for japan, cowboys and bling bling lovers.
Saturday: the coolest living Englishman, cool live art.
Sunday: bad teacher, live film music.

Coming up next week, Manchester United and Liza Minnelli.

Featured place

This week we visited AlexTony, where you can get homely Italian food in the centre of town. We enjoyed grilled chicken breast with herbs, served up with delicious potatoes and vegetables, but the menu also offers traditional pasta and pizzas, and a help yourself starter buffet, as well as the plats du jour. It's open every day, and although there's no outdoor terrace, perhaps that's an advantage considering the current weather.

Please note that when we feature places and events in the newsletter, we're writing our own personal opinions rather than placing adverts. If you have a favourite restaurant or bar that you'd like us to feature, let us know.

For lots more suggestions, visit maBoum's 7 day listing and enjoy your weekend.
