Today is Sainte Devote's Day, Monaco's patron saint. The martyr's story was the inspiration for a poem by Louis Notari, which is credited with reviving the Monegasque language.

What's new?

French language travel publisher Le Petit Fute is to launch a guide to Monaco in June, which will also be available on the iPhone.

Thanks to all our readers who've been sharing with us their recent experiences of going out in Monaco, and also to event organizers for updating us with what's happening. Keep sending your suggestions for additions and changes.

What's in the diary...

Thursday: Take a holiday, but not for a tenor.
Friday: A blues number and some winning showmanship.
