May arrives next week, with warmer, sunnier weather, 3 holidays and a break at Grand Prix. Time to unpack your summer wardrobe.
What's new?
Two multi-day events take place this weekend. Art Monaco, the annual contemporary art salon launches with an invitation only auction and party tonight, then over the following 3 days It's open in the afternoons to the public. For those with green fingers, Monaco Expo Cactus takes place on Saturday and Sunday at the Jardin Exotique.
If you enjoy Parma ham and Parmesan cheese, check out the Cafe de Paris' Parma gastronomy days from today to Sunday, with guest chef and special menus. In other restaurant news, changes are expected at Pinocchio on the Rocher, which has a new manager, and at Pasta Palace, the cafe in the shopping gallery under Park Palace residences.
We're all looking forward to a day's holiday on Wednesday, 1st May, which heralds a number of upcoming events. Club Vivanova is planning a wine tasting evening out in Nice, and the Jeune Chambre Economique is organizing its annual inter-enterprise sports challenge. Note Bleue has published its program of jazz concerts that start on 17th May, and here at maBoum, we've posted our party guide to the 2013 Monaco Grand Prix, to which we'll be adding more events in the coming weeks.
Finally, your empty plastic toothpaste or skin cream tubes are needed. Don't throw them away, donate them to Monacology organizers who want to use them for a children's workshop.
