A doll's house (1)

At last we can welcome springtime tomorrow, although the weather forecast looks rather gloomy for the weekend.

What's new?

Food and drink have been on our minds more than usual this week. On Tuesday Condamine Market Hall started evening opening hours, creating an alternative after work venue, where families, colleagues and friends can share light, tapas style food with a glass of something refreshing. Monaco Restaurant Group's parent company, Giraudi, has signed an import agreement with kobe beef producers in Japan, which means that Beef Bar restaurant will be serving the ultra expensive steaks from May. And Novotel continues to serve Guinness and Monaco Beer throughout March.

Monaco's most famous, luxury lodging house, the Hotel de Paris, has announced that renovation work is to commence 6th October, with a planned completion date of September 2018. Bon viveur residents of the Principality will be pleased to note that the Louis XV restaurant will remain open throughout the work, as will the Salle Empire and the American Bar.

Finally, check out three events taking place over the weekend. It's the 2nd weekend of Printemps des Arts, including performances of music by Haydn and Scriabin, and something to surprise you. The Monaco International Salsa Festival returns, with three days of dancing and parties, and today, teams competing in the Monte Carlo New Energy Rally set off and are due to arrive in Monaco tomorrow. The event partners' village is open to the public, by the Parc Ferme at Port Hercule.
