Wicked, wicked ways (1)

Summer starts officially this weekend, and there are plenty of events celebrating its arrival in the Principality.
What's new?
Up in the clouds, Heli Air Monaco are offering helicopter rides for 40 euros until Sunday and donating a quarter of the price to Amade Monaco. At sea level, the Super Yachts Rendezvous starts today, with a full program of parties, networking and entertainment for owners of the floating palaces.
The cultural calendar includes two of our favourite events. This evening is opening night at Monaco Open Air Cinema, where original version films are shown throughout summer. Tomorrow is Fete de la Musique, with free concerts and performances across the Principality, culminating in a headline show by Danakil at the Port. Across town, another noteworthy musical event for which you'll need to buy a ticket, is the Monaco gig of Alicia Keys.
Finally, during the week that the Government announced plans for an Apple Premium Reseller store in Monaco, reports of Planet Sushi's intention to open a restaurant in the premises vacated by O Duplex were confirmed.
What's in the diary...
Thursday: Rose wine - ideal summer sipping.
Friday: Summer ball and Swedish sommar party.
Saturday: Galliano jazz, 150 Bordeaux wines.
Sunday: Traditional festival of St John the Baptist.
Coming up next week, Sweetlove's summer show, France's veteran vocalist, and female hobnobbing.
