Hope you enjoyed the day off yesterday, and thanks to our eagle eyed Twitter followers who spotted our silly mistake.
What's new?
On Friday and Saturday, Julio Iglesias closes the Sporting Summer Festival, SBM's season of shows featuring contemporary popular musicians. It won't be long before another musical season starts, that of the Monte Carlo Philarmonic Orchestra in September. If you're looking for a quiet drink in the evening with a little less music, try the Quai des Artistes summer bar, with happy hour wines by the glass (3 euros), tasty nibbles, and a view of the comings and goings over the road at Rascasse and Before Bar. Another place to try in the evening is Le Regina, which is testing late opening. The cafe is popular with locals for lunch and breakfast, and serves one of the best cups of coffee in Monaco.
And finally, a word from Mr maBoum: There will be a temporary interruption of service between 1am and 4am on Friday morning. The maBoum servers are being upgraded to faster, more powerful machines. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but at that time you shouldn't be on your computer. It's party time, right?
What's in the diary...
Thursday: totally new Total Recall.
Friday: Abba tribute band.
Saturday: jazz jam.
Sunday: Jimmy'z Monte Carlo party.
Coming up next week, yachts arrive from Palermo.
