Our congratulations this week go to Brasserie de Monaco, which recently won an award for its beer.
What's new?
Everyone's talking about football at the moment, as Monaco FC heads towards the last game of the season, finishing in second place behind Paris St Germain, which tops the Ligue 1 table. Monaco Matin newspaper first reported that coach Claudio Ranieri wouldn't step down, then that he would, and following that, several possible replacements have been suggested. Most recently, Leonardo Jardim of Sporting Portugal was mentioned, but an official announcement isn't expected until next week.
Looking ahead, we were very excited to see that the Salon du Chocolat is to visit Monaco in October, the summer musical fireworks competition dates have been confirmed, and tickets for the Herculis athletics meeting are now on sale.
We're giving a heads-up to the end of May networking event that's bringing together members of the International Club of the Riviera, the Riviera Business Club, and the Vivanova wine tasting club. The organizers are holding a raffle during the evening to raise money for children affected by HIV/AIDS. And finally, Sea Lounge opens this weekend, which gives us an excuse to practice partying before the event of the year next weekend.
What's in the diary ....
Thursday: Whisky Galore and tasting.
Friday: Yes.
Saturday: Brazilian gala.

Coming up next week, martini mixing and fund-raising football.
