February 10th Newsletter
Love is in the air
Roses, chocolates, champagne and luuurve. Yes it's Valentine's Day on Monday, and Monaco's restaurants and bars are organizing romantic treats for you and your lover.
What's new?
Just after the newsletter went out last week, a press conference was held to introduce the 105th edition of the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters tennis competition that takes place in April. We'll be following the action both on and off court here at maBoum Towers.
On the cultural agenda, those of you who speak Spanish might be interested to know that the Library is celebrating Argentine culture during February and March. It's in honour of Buenos Aires being nominated UNESCO World Book Capital City 2011, and there are film screenings, music and literary events organized in the Louis Notari Library.
Finally, we're listing the location of the mobile blood donor unit throughout February. If you're fit and healthy, and not too squeamish, consider donating blood. You might save someone's life.
What's in the diary...
Thursday: Young and old are happy, East and West are tasty.
Friday: Play by the book, electro, soul and funk.
Saturday: Travel guides for near and far.
Sunday: Blue initiative to protect the sea, might include Black Swan too.
Coming up next week, an English language film for Cinema Tuesday, and a sparkling night at the Irish library.
