The Hotel de Paris has opened a second Alain Ducasse restaurant, named Omer. It's located in the newly created Rotonde and looks out over the gardens. Chef Patrick Laine's cuisine takes its inspiration from a variety of Mediterranean countries, including Greece, Lebanon and Turkey, and the carte apparently includes a number of dishes for sharing, with the aim of creating an informal ambience. It's open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Ducasse's Louis XV has moved back into its original, opulent location and the new kitchens continue to prepare gastronomic dinners.

Chic Sunday champagne brunches are now available at the Hermitage Hotel in partnership with Ruinart until 31 March. For 105 euros pp you can enjoy bubbly afternoons from 12:30 to 16:00, beneath the cupola of the hotel's Eiffel mezzanine. Phone +377 98 06 86 83 for more information.

And finally, the Commune of Monaco has expanded its library services to include the management of the Princess Caroline children's library. Members will retain their subscription and can also obtain a new card allowing them to borrow books from the Louis Notari library, and multi-media items from the Jose Notari library. If you use the library services yourself, note that they will be closed exceptionally from 14 to 16 January.
