Monaco's Archives Audiovisuelles bring us happiness.
Monaco's annual festival of film, Tout l'Art du Cinema (the art of cinema) is once again organized by the Archives Audiovisuelles de Monaco, with screenings of classic films from around the world.
Tout l'Art du Cinema groups together several cine events. First in the calendar is the tribute to Monaco's Fondation Prince Pierre, Un Roman Un Film, which this year features Catherine Deneuve in Belle du Jour. Weekly Mardis du Cinema (cinema Tuesdays) screenings begin on 22nd October with Kurosawa's Madadayo. Each year the movies focus on a theme, and that of 2013-2014 is C'Est Quand Le Bonheur? (when is happiness?). In December organizers have teamed up with the Automobile Club to screen a restored and expanded version of Roman Polanski's documentary of Jackie Stewart, filmed during the 1971 Monaco Grand Prix, and in April 2014 there's a Cine Concert featuring Buster Keaton's Seven Chances.
