Jeune Chambre's tournament for Monaco organizations
Monaco's Jeune Chambre Economique (JCEM) is organizing the 3rd Trophee inter-Entreprises et Administrations Monegasques (TEAM).
First held in 2011, TEAM is a competition with 5 sports events that take place over the course of several months. Enterprises and administrative teams are invited to take part, with the chance of winning the TEAM trophy. It's not necessary to be a champion sports star to participate, as the aim is to develop team spirit within your organization and to give employees an opportunity to discover new sports.
This year's sports are:
- Petanque, teams of 3 players, 9th June
- Football, teams of 6 players, 23rd June at Cap d'Ail
- Beach Volley, teams of 4 players, 7th July at Cap d'Ail
- Karting, teams of 4 players, 15th September at the Circuit Inter Racing Kart in Frejus
- Handisport, teams of 4 players who will be paired up with disabled players, 6th October
Companies put their own teams together, and different team members are allowed for each challenge.
Points are awarded after each sporting event, and combined after all 5 stages have been completed to give a final classification. The trophy is awarded in December 2013 to the organization whose teams have made most points over the whole tournament.
Besides the team-building and sports, the challenge is raising money for the Fondation Cedric Flaujac. Created in 2012, the Foundation provides support for disadvantaged children and youths to develop skills and abilities in education, sports, culture and art.
If you'd like to enter the TEAM III tournament, the registration fees are:
- 1500 euros per team for all 5 events
- 500 euros per team for 1 event
- 1000 euros per team for a package of 2 sports plus handisport
