Sweet victory for Meridien

Hotel's patissier creates prize winning chocolate sculpture.

During the recent "Sucre et Chocolat" salon in Antibes, Christophe Celea, young patissier of the Merdien Beach Plaza Hotel, won the chocolate creation competition. The 23 year old participated with around 20 others from top class establishments along the Cote d'Azur. Celea used 3 types of chocolate to create a confectionery sculpture on the theme of Asia, entitled "rencontre entre la Provence et l'Orient" (when Provence meets the Orient). It's another feather in the cap for Monaco's hotels.
