International stars light up the Sporting Summer Festival.
Every summer during July and August, Monte Carlo SBM welcomes a host of stars to the Salle des Etoiles in the Sporting d'Ete complex. This year the festival opens with Stevie Wonder, a difficult act to follow, but Elton John, Mark Knopfler and Tom Jones are no doubt up to the challenge. Representing France, we have Charles Aznavour, and from Spain, Julio Iglesias. Italians form a large percentage of visitors to Monaco, and there are one or two big names on the bill from Italy, although sadly maBoum knows none of them yet. A quick look through YouTube will change that. And if you thought the program had been put together to appeal only to those aged over 45, there are a few "youngsters" such as Erykah Badu, Vanessa Paradis, Mika, and Jamiroquai.
