In anticipation of Monaco's Printemps des Arts.
It won't be long now before spring arrives and with it Monaco's annual music festival, the Printemps des Arts. As a taster, festival organizers are holding 3 Spring Thursdays (Jeudis du Printemps) at the Marlborough Gallery during February. Three of the artists featured on the festival program are inviting the public to preview their work in anticipation of the Printemps des Arts, ask questions and share a glass of wine. Starting this Thursday, click through the links below for times and details of artists:
The 27th Festival starts 18th March and ends 10th April, and has a new format for 2011, which places all the activities and concerts over 4 packed weekends:
- 18-20 March
- 25-27 March
- 1-3 April
- 8-10 April
Tickets are 20 euros per concert, 7.50 euros for students and free for kids under 13.
Along with a concert in the Parking des Pecheurs and the traditional musical mystery tour to Nice, this year's Printemps des Arts features portraits of Schumann and Gabriel Faure, and an introduction to Turkish music and culture. One day is being dedicated to the violin, and another features an eclectic mix of contemporary music played in and around the Place du Casino.
As usual, maBoum has created a handy list of events below. Click through for more information.
