Automobile rallies, grands prix and more
The Grand Prix has not long finished, but there's no time for the Automobile Club of Monaco to take a holiday. Teams at the iconic car club have already put dates in the diary for events in 2014.
Next year the Principality will be welcoming teams of drivers and technicians taking part in two Grands Prix, the Historic and the Formula 1. 2014 also sees three Rallies, the Monte Carlo, the Historic and the New Energy, as well as the reinstatment in a new format of the Monte Carlo Rally for Classic Vehicles. The classic event, which last took place in 2001, has been reinvented as a Concours d'Elegance.
Routes of the Rallies have yet to be confirmed, but already some changes have been announced. For seven years teams competing in the Monte Carlo Rally have departed from Valence, but this year the itinerary takes drivers from Monte Carlo to Gap in the Haute Alpes for the winter tests.
Finally, looking ahead to 2015, ACM are making plans for the first Electric Monaco Grand Prix 9th May.
