Slow food moves to Monaco

Regional division of gastronomic association moves headquarters.

On Friday the South East France and Monaco regional group of the Slow Food Convivium met for a gala dinner at the Meridien Beach Plaza. The gastronomic association took the opportunity to get together during the Monaco Gastronomie show, which ends today. During its gala evening, President Jean-Pierre Rous announced that the group's headquarters is moving to the Principality and is also changing its name to Slow Food Monaco Riviera Cote d'Azur.

The soiree was also an occasion for presenting prizes to 8 producers who took stands at Monaco Gastronomie:

  • dried tomatoes, Gusto dei Sapori, stand 58
  • gingerbread cake, Bio Baous, stand 50
  • Valencian olive oil, Oliespal, stand 16
  • ewe's cheese, Fromage des Pyrenees, stand 33
  • foie gras with chocolate and figs, Jean-Pierre Foie Gras, stand 27/28
  • cepes (wild mushrooms) with armagnac and acacia honey, Lounge Gourmet, stand 43
  • savory honey, La Grupie, stand 26
  • Quercy foie gras, La Quercynoise, stand 72

If you hurry down to Fontvieille, you might still be able to get into the show and taste some of the prize winning food.
