Public transport day 2011

Free bus travel today.

It's La Journee du Transport Public in Monaco and buses are taking on passengers free of charge. To mark the occasion, 4 new experimental electric bike stations are being unveiled by bus company CAM. In addition to the Fontvieille and Larvotto stands, you'll find the red and white bikes at Princesse Stephanie, boulevard de Belgique and Monaco Ville. The fourth is still in the testing stage.

This afternoon from 15:30 to 18:00, CAM and SNCF are joining together to promote intermodal public transport on the railway station concourse. CAM is unveiling a new hybrid bus that's to enter service in June, as well as it's new electric bikes. SNCF is presenting its new, rechargeable ZOU card.
