Pascal Garrigues wins the Jean Delaveyne Trophy.
Organized by the Toques Francaises association, the 8th edition of the Jean Delaveyne Trophy took place in Paris at the end of November. It's a competition open to all chefs with at least 5 years' professional experience. The theme is announced in July, after which candidates submit their recipes, preparation techniques and photographs. Eight candidates are chosen by the jury to take part in the final, when the chefs have five and a half hours to prepare their starter, main course and dessert. This year's winner is Pascal Garrigues, sous chef of the Monte Carlo Beach Hotel, and he gets to keep the trophy for a year. We expect to see it proudly displayed until next October.
