Annual open air concerts.
Every summer since 1959, the Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra puts on a series of concerts in the Prince's Palace courtyard. There are 6 gala evenings, with guest conductors and soloists playing major classical works with the orchestra. It's a wonderful way to spend a summer's evening, but if the weather lets you down, the concerts move to the Rainier III Auditorium. Tickets cost from 18 to 85 euros, with reductions for groups and students. You can buy them from the box office in the atrium of the Monte Carlo Casino, also from Fnac and Carrefour. Here's maBoum's "at a glance" listing, and you can click through for more information.
