Beach restaurant, lounge bar and jazz venue.
Known for good food and jazz, the Note Bleue restaurant on the beach continues its annual summer program of live music. Current owners Anne and Alain Tanzi took over the place in 2001 and chose the name Note Bleue (blue note) as a tribute to saxophonist Barney Wilen. If you hadn't already guessed, they have a passion for jazz. Together with Marc Peillon (who incidentally plays a double bass), they've put together a program that includes all sorts of jazz: be-bop, swing, soul, funk, Brazilian, fusion and more. From mid-may to the end of August, concerts take place 4 nights a week, Wednesday to Saturday. You can arrive from 18:30 for a jazzy aperitif and stay all evening until the music dies at midnight. Nice!
