Starwood Hotels and Resorts has announced the appointment of Manuel de Vasconcelos as head of Monaco's Meridien Beach Plaza Hotel. De Vasconcelos worked in Switzerland, Colombia, Brazil and the USA before joining Starwood in 1990. He's moving to the Principality from the Prince de Galles in Paris, and succeeds Michel Cottray, who's joining Costa Navarino Resort in Greece.
Further up the command chain, Flavio Bucciarelli has taken on the role of Starwood's Regional Director for France and Monaco. He was previously Regional Director for Starwood Northern France, and DG of the Meridien Etoile in Paris.
