Where to eat and party on the last day of 2009.
There's lots of choice in Monaco for the biggest celebration of the year on New Year's Eve. We've put the places into categories: parties, where music and dancing play a large part in the evening's entertainment, a la carte, where you don't have to pay for a full menu, and dinner, where you'll be buying a meal of several courses. The listing is in no particular order, so you'll have to click through for more details.
As an alternative to all of these, the Christmas market at Port Hercule is open until half past midnight, so if you wrap up well, you can take advantage of the stalls selling vin chaud, frites and spice bread. Don't forget the usual live music and fireworks in Casino Square too.
If you've still not decided what to do for Christmas, check our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day listings for ideas.
