Monaco's annual cinema season expands.
Monaco's Mardis du Cinema (cinema Tuesdays) is changing its name to Tout l'Art du Cinema (the art of cinema). Each year, the Archives Audiovisuelles de Monaco organize screenings of classic films from around the world, grouped together under a theme.
The theme for 2012-2013 is Family Secrets (secrets de famille), and each movie show this year is to be preceded by an historic news reel about Monaco. In addition, the program includes two screenings that are usually scheduled as separate events: Un Roman Un Film (a novel, a film), and Monaco en Films (monaco on screen). Organizers have also partnered with the Monte Carlo Ballets and Philharmonic Orchestra to place movies elsewhere within the cultural calendar of the Principality.
