Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra 2013-2014 season

2013-2014 season preview on Saturday

Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra plays a concert tribute to Monegasque poet and composer Leo Ferre on Saturday evening as an overture to the 2013-2014 season, which officially opens with Beethoven's 9th Symphony on 22nd September. This year, Artistic and Musical Director Gianluigi Gelmetti aims to introduce a new audience to chamber music, with late afternoon concerts in the Troparium of Auditorium Rainier II. The series of "musical happy hours" replaces previous seasons' mid-day performances. Also on the programme are traditional grand symphonic concerts, spiritual music, collaborations with Monte Carlo Ballet and Opera, and the Printemps des Arts spring festival.
