Classical concerts for all from September

The Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, led by Gianluigi Gelmetti, begins its 2012-2013 season in September, with a varied program including grand symphonic concerts and chamber music. Several performances of spiritual music are taking place in Monaco Cathedral and in Saint Charles Church, with free entry for all. You'll also find the OPMC collaborating once again with productions by the Monte Carlo Ballet, the Monte Carlo Opera and the Printemps des Arts spring festival.

Outside the grand concert halls, the orchestra brings music to residents of Monaco's elderly care homes, while youngsters are encouraged to appreciate classical composers through the Jeune Public concerts. In December the musicians visit Oman as cultural ambassadors for the Principality, and closer to home, they perform in France, in Antibes on 22nd June 2013, and La Roque d'Antheron on 30th and 31st July 2013.
