Verdi, Tchaikovsky and Ravel on the program.
The 2011 to 2012 opera season program has been announced and includes 6 operas, as well as concerts by Nathalie Stutzmann and Elina Garanca. With an opera by lesser known composer-librettist Arrigo Boito, and Massenet's rarely performed La Navarraise, you're sure to discover something new among the performances.
Season ticket holders can purchase tickets from 17th May, with preferential rates and a free program included (download opera season ticket information as a PDF.). If you only want to see 1 or 2 performances, then you'll have to wait to request tickets in writing from 12th July (PDF application forms can be downloaded from the Monte Carlo Opera website). After a break in August, you can buy your tickets by phone or in person from the box office from 13th September.
Prices range from as little as 30 euros for some performances, up to 150 euros, with discounts available for students and groups of 10 or more.
