Monaco talent in Vogue

Support local designer Dora Tokai

Monaco resident fashion designer Dora Tokai is hoping to win the 2013 Muuse x Vogue Talents Young Vision Award.

Before arriving in the Principality, Dora studied engineering and architecture in England, Spain, Hungary and France. She recently completed an MBA in Luxury Goods and Services at the International University of Monaco, and set up her own company at the beginning of this year.

Monaco and its motoring heritage are the inspiration for Dora's collection, called Heritage Revived, which uses elements of style suggestive of Baroque royal attire, with a contemporary, minimalist twist. The collection is just one of around 300 submitted by young fashion designers hoping to win the annual Muuse x Vogue Talents Young Vision Award.

Competition entries are put to the public vote during August, after which the 50 with the most votes enter the semi-finals. From these, Vogue Fashion Editor Sara Maino selects 10 finalists, who are submitted to a final round of voting in September. The ultimate winner creates a capsule collection produced and sold through Muuse, the Copenhagen based fashion label and talent scout. Free production, PR, marketing and sales are included in the deal, as well as an online feature on Vogue Italia Talents, a feature in Vogue Italia print edition, and a designer portfolio on the Muuse website.

You can help Dora Tokai get into the semi-final stages by voting for her before 26th August, and by doing this, you too have the opportunity to be a winner. Voters are automatically entered into a draw to win a 500 euros gift card for use on Muuse's website, where you can obtain pieces designed by previous laureates, including last year's victor, Ece Gozen.
