Galleries collaborate to promote art.
Several Monaco art galleries have joined together under the banner Point Art Monaco with the aim of making a positive contribution to the development of art and culture in the Principality. The idea is for the galleries to jointly promote art and organize events. For example, common private viewings take place twice a year in June and November, when the public can visit each gallery on the same evening to discover different exhibitions.
This year Point Art Monaco became a Groupement d'Interet Economique (GIE), or economic interest group, and is organizing a summer salon. Under the patronage of Prince Albert II it's hoped that the event will become a regular feature in the calendar, replacing the Biennale de Monaco et de Monte Carlo International Fine Art & Antiques Fair.
