School's out officially from Friday, which means that Monaco hotels can expect an influx of tourists, enjoying the summer sunshine. The Meridien Beach Plaza, with its private beach and 24/7 Intempo restaurant, has devised a program of entertainment to keep everyone happy.
Outdoor lounge Muse is open until September for chilling out under the pine trees and staring out to sea. Open for lunch, with dishes from 30 euros and an organic wine menu, then from 23:00 to dawn drinks and light snacks.
Alang beach lounge on the hotel's private beach is open from 10:00-23:00, with DJ and barbecue food from 18:00. Cocktails cost from 17 euros, a selection of 5 brochettes is 15 euros, and groups can order a beach party kit including bottle of Veuve Clicquot and 20 brochettes for 170 euros.
Every Tuesday from 20:00, there's a beach party with live music and a buffet dinner for 95 euros per person.
Every Wednesday from 20:00, a diner des pecheurs (fishermen's dinner) and jazz music by the pool. Music is provided by singer Emily Johnson, the dinner buffet includes fish and seafood specialities, and guests are requested to dress up a little for the evening. Price 95 euros per person.
Every Thursday from 19:00, Intempo gets into Brazilian party mood with a buffet dinner that includes Brazilian specialities, and live art with Brazilian artist Sandra Biloe, who will be creating work on large canvases and plexiglas. Price 75 euros per person.
