Learn how to make vegan sushi

Cooking class and party in Beausoleil Sunday 12th Feb.

Chef David Holis comes to Beausoleil on Sunday evening. He's organizing a pre-Valentine sexy food class and demonstration in a private apartment near the market. Originally planned for Thursday 9th Feb, it may or may not involve vegan sushi.

David carries out Asian/Oriental cooking classes and dinner party catering on the Cote d'Azur through the website Foodies Cooking. Tonight's class uses healthy ingredients to make less common types of sushi. You'll be able to eat the fresh food as soon as it's made. On the menu:

  • nigiri sushi with poached carrot and ginger or with asparagus
  • maki sushi with pickled daikon or avocado, cucumber and poached carrot
  • gunkan maki (battle-ship sushi with tomato tartare)
  • temaki sushi
  • inari sushi (savoury tofu pockets with sushi rice with ginger, spring onion and toasted sesame seeds)

The class is from 18:30 to 21:30 and costs 49 euros per person, or 39 euros per person if you go along with a friend. All ingredients and tasting are included.

There may be changes at the last minute, but if you'd like to attend, phone David on 06 73 07 80 66, or email him at david[at]foodiescooking.com and he'll provide you with all the details.
