Attempt to beat world speed record
UPDATE: According to the Terre d'Union website, the record will be attempted in June.
Between 19th and 21st April, Ludovic Mure is hoping to enter the record books. On behalf of the Terre d'Union association, he's attempting to set a new world record as the fastest man on a jet ski. He'll need to reach speeds of at least 100 km/h in order to beat the current record, which stands at 88 km/h. The attempt will be verified by the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM) and Guinness World Records, and followed by a party evening at Fusion on 22nd April.
Besides breaking the record, jet ski pilot Mure aims to raise money for Terre d'Union to finance a school in the village of Anjahakely in North Madagascar. More sporting events will be organized by the association in the future to finance further social, humanitarian and environmental projects.
The current project is supported by Prince Albert II, the UIM and the Peace and Sport Association, and if you'd like to contribute, there are lots of different sponsorship packages on the Terre d'Union website.
