Golden Foot 2013

Beckham or Ronaldo, it's your choice

Voting is open for the 2013 Golden Foot Award, which is to be presented, as usual, during Sportel Monaco. You have until 9th October to choose one of ten outstanding footballers, who will leave a permanent mould of his footprints on the Champions Promenade in Monaco. This year's nominees are:

  • Ronaldo, Brazilian striker, now retired
  • Andres Iniesta, Spanish midfielder
  • David Sergio Trezeguet, played for French national team
  • Frank Lampard jnr, English midfielder
  • Samuel Eto'o Fils, Cameroonian striker playing for Russian team Anzhi Makhachkala
  • Iker Casillas, Spanish goalkeeper
  • Miroslav Klose, German striker
  • Andrea Pirlo, Italian playmaker
  • Didier Drogba, Ivorian forward best known for his career at Chelsea FC
  • David Beckham, English outfield player, now retired

Originally created by football management company World Champions Club (WCC), the Golden Foot recognizes the career of an international soccer player aged 28 or over. A footballer can win the award once only, and although a jury of media partners and event promoters nominate the initial list, it's left to the public to vote for the ultimate winner.

You could be a lucky winner too, just by voting for the player you think is best. Once the poll is finished, three names are drawn at random to win one of three prizes:

  • 1st prize, a return, overnight trip to Monte Carlo to attend the Golden Foot Gala, meet the winner, from whom he or she receives an official, autographed t-shirt
  • 2nd prize, Golden Foot 2013 t-shirt, autographed by the winner
  • 3rd prize, autographed photo of a previous Golden Foot winner

Votes are registered on the event website at: Golden Foot - Vote and Win.
