Geisha, samurai and little mosses

Cocktails and photos at the Columbus.

Monaco has its fair share of artistic bar staff creating weird and wonderful cocktails. The barmen at the Fairmont Hotel have won prizes in 2009, and just recently for a long cocktail creation. Now the Columbus Hotel is getting in on the act.

Recently bought by the Livingstone brothers, who incidentally own the Fairmont too, the Columbus's bar is staking its claim in Monaco's cocktail territory. It's just invented two new drinks, the Geisha and the Samurai as a tribute to the current Kyoto-Tokyo exhibition. Matching the Japanese theme, the hotel lobby is also exhibiting photos by Gabriel Yoshitsune Fabre (also exhibiting at the Japanese Garden in September). The theme of the exhibition is Book of Images of Japan - In the Garden of the Little Mosses.
