FRENCH LANGUAGE annual conference cycle.
Each year the Fondation Prince Pierre organizes a season of conferences with expert speakers discussing a variety of subjects within the disciplines of art, literature, history and science. The first conference of 2013 is given by Francoise Barre-Sinoussi, who was awarded a Nobel Prize in 2008 for her contribution to the discovery of the HIV virus. She's worked in this field since discovery of AIDS in 1983, and her talk includes the current state of research, solutions for fighting the disease, and the importance of screening, since 60% of sufferers don't know that they are infected.
