Philippe Joannes created Chevalier.

Earlier this month, chef of the Fairmont Monte Carlo was accepted into the French Ordre National du Merite as a Chevalier (Knight).
Established in 1963 by President Charles de Gaulle, the National Order of Merit is awarded to those who have been in public service for at least 10 years.
Chef Joannes was presented with the order by Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice. The event was celebrated with speeches and a buffet prepared by his Fairmont Monte Carlo team.
