Donate DVDs to developing directors

Help create a film library in Africa.

From now until 24th October at Stars n Bars, International Emerging Film Talent Association (IEFTA) is collecting DVDs of classic films on behalf of the Ethiopian Film Initiative (EFI) in order to create a library in Addis Ababa. The aim is to enable aspiring filmmakers to study the work of other directors and learn the basics of film-making. Eventually, it's hoped to create a commercial film industry in Ethiopia and other developing countries to provide jobs and build the economy.

You can help IEFTA by donating your DVDs of classic movies in any language, but with English subtitles. All genres are accepted, although films should contain minimal violence, nudity and offensive language. Please bring your DVDs to Stars n Bars reception.

Even if you don't have DVDs to donate, you can still help IEFTA by making a donation to enable the organization to ship the DVDs and to continue supporting film educational workshops abroad.

For more information contact Noriko[at]IEFTA.org with DVD in the subject heading, and visit the organization's website at IEFTA. A Monaco-based association, IEFTA has created and continues to support a film school in Ethiopia. A cocktail is planned for 24th October at Stars n Bars at the end of the DVD donation drive.
