While you're waiting for the sun to break through the clouds, Alain Ducasse's La Trattoria is bringing the warmth of Tuscany to Monaco.

After Robbie Pepin was appointed head chef of Bulgari Hotel and Residences' Il Ristorante in London in January 2012, Damien Leroux stepped into the kitchens of La Trattoria, has created some new dishes, and revisited traditional ones.

There's a buffet with over 15 types of antipasti to start, then the carte includes whole roasted sea bass with courgettes and marinated peppers for two. The menu includes Italian staples of pizzas and pastas, not forgetting delicious, classic desserts such as panna cotta and tiramisu. Wines are mainly Italian varieties.

The restaurant itself has a contemporary feel, with modern fixtures and fittings, and a view overlooking the gardens at Jimmy'z towards the Mediterranean. A lovely way to spend an evening!
