Monaco's new restaurant speciaiizing in meat.
Bajres opened in August 2009, but when we tried to visit a few weeks later it was packed out. This time we took no chances and phoned ahead to reserve a table. The restaurant's chef, meat and wine all originate from Argentina and they're a welcome addition to the other places in Monaco that specialize in beef and steak. Bajres is small, cosy, and clearly popular with locals. We had a T-bone steak and a beef fillet cooked exactly how we liked, with creamy mash, salad and chunky fries (British chips) on the side. Accompanied by a good bottle of red wine and followed by a downhill stroll home, it was a lovely way to spend a Sunday evening.
