Ni Tapas and Ni Box
Ni Tapas, not quite finishedThe hoardings have been taken down in front of the old Mirabeau Hotel to reveal a brand new bar and restaurant. Ni Tapas is in the space left vacant by Le Coupole. Casamanara has been in charge of the interior design, to make it feel like a traditional Barcelona tapas bar. There are lots of alcoves, a bar measuring 100 feet, and an open view of the kitchens. The place will be divided into two sections, one a dining room and the other a bodega. Here at maBoum we're very partial to Spanish tapas so we're eagerly looking forward to the opening.
Another Ni venue is planned to open at the new youth centre in the Portier district in June, although rumours say it's opening around 25th April. The Ni Box will host a trendy night club to replace Karement, a bowling alley and a skating rink. Ni Hotel, Ni Bar, Ni Tapas and Ni Box. What next we wonder? It surely can't be long before we have a Ni Shrubbery.
