Better late than never.
We were disappointed in November when the World Music Awards were canceled at the last minute, but thankfully the 21st edition goes ahead tomorrow. As usual, the event takes place in the Sporting d'Ete, and top of the celebrity guest list is Jennifer Lopez who receives an award for her contribution to the arts.
Founded in 1989, the World Music Awards gather together the biggest names of international music every year. The ceremony rewards artists in different musical genres who've sold the most number of albums in their home country. It's broadcast in more than 160 countries, including on prime time American television. On the program tomorrow evening are Akon, David Guetta, Will.i.am, Andrea Bocelli, Kelly Rowland, and rock legends the Scorpions. They'll be accompanied by other celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and ex-Bee Gees' Robin Gibb. Of course Prince Albert II will be attending too, and the whole event is raising funds this year for Haiti. It promises to be a star-studded evening.
