What's new

The 2-week school spring holidays begin at the end of this week with classes restarting on Monday 7 May. It's also the last weekend of the Tennis Masters, with finals taking place on Sunday.

The newest addition to Fontvieille's food and drink outlets opened quietly last week. Brought to us by Riccardo Giraudi of Monaco Restaurant Group, Nacionalista is a "South American" concept bar serving tapas and cocktails, located on the quayside behind Moshi Moshi. There are plenty of photos on the facebook page. It's open Monday to Saturday from 17:30 to 23:30, and the phone number is +377 93 25 30 35. Let us know what you think if you get there before us.

And finally, if you're a member of Club Vivanova, don't forget the Burgundy wine tasting next Wednesday!

What's in the diary ....

Thursday: I Masnadierdi gala.
Friday: Baroque concert in the library.
Saturday: Top Marques.
Sunday: Aerophonics Ensemble.

Coming up next week, art classes in French, Une Jeunesse Allemande, and lunch with Jeff Beck.

For lots more suggestions, visit maBoum's 7 day listing and enjoy your weekend.

(1) This week's quote is a phrase from Shakespeare's Sonnet 98, which reads "[-] April dress'd in all his trim / Hath put a spirit of youth in every thing".
