What's new

Monaco Mairie has named its new sports centre with the help of Facebook followers (see 4 Jan newsletter). The Hercule Fitness Club is scheduled to open at the beginning of April.

The Hotel de Paris has lost its Director of Restaurants, whilst its 3-star Louis XV is waiting to move back to its old location. Due to building work, the restaurant is currently installed in the rotonde by the garden, overlooking the sea. Chef Dominique Lory has adapted to his new, temporary home, and by all accounts the move has not affected the quality of the service or food. If you'd like to try it, the lunchtime menu "Dejeuner Riviera" is available Friday to Monday, with a choice of two starters, two mains, selection of cheese and a dessert a la carte. The price is 165 euros pp, or 195 euros pp with drinks. Dinner a la carte is served Thursday to Monday.
